So these Patriot Perfomance heads are Aluminum, 2.30 intake/ 1.88 exh; 320 runners and 119cc combustion chambers.

Motor Im gathering parts for is a 454 .030 over. Stock crank. Truck Rods with ARP Hardware. TRW Forged L2349 .030 over pistons. Cam I wont choose till I get heads. alos have not chose intake and Carb but will most likely be high rise dual plane aluminum and 750-850 cfm carb.

Car is a 66 Chevelle with TH400 trans and rear gears at 3.73. Would like to keep stall at 2800-3200 range. Car is not daily driver and just for fun; 905 street with a handful of track trips a year for fun.

Cam I am open to Hydraulic roller and solid flat tappet but not solid roller due to occasional stop and go traffic here in florida and its primarily street use.

Ive done as much research as I could find and the most convincing arguement I have is 2 examples: One is CHP magazine did a 505 build with these and the heads produced impressive #s but thats 50 more cubic inches and a solid roller cam. The results did show high torque #'s down low suggesting the velocity of the heads to be good correct?

The best example I have is GMs 454 HO uses 325cc rectangle port heads and with weenie hydraulic roller cam produces 500 ft lb and 425 hp, with max torque figure down low in the RPm range. Im thinking with this info I cant go wrong with these heads?

I would say for a street 454 they are to large.
If you had a street 496 that would see 6,500 rpm's I would say they are fine.
In a 454 I would not even look at these heads un-less you planning on running it to 7,000 rpms.
I am not so sure about the magazine build-up using these heads.
The numbers seem a little on the high side to me.
