Really depends on how you use the car, and if you have an OD gear or not. If you only drive locally or trailer to events and only want it to cruise the event and hit the local main drag to impress the troops; or if you want it as a driver, to drive to an event several hundred miles away, getting decent mileage and still having some punch for play time. Like Pat says, what do you consider a "street car"?
If you want your "usable" rpm range to be from 3000 to 6000 under power then it works. Generally for the street guys want a wider range of use, especially if it's not a locking converter. What do you want from the car?
