Thanks guys, The pan is a derale with cooling tubes running through it and extra quart or two fluid capacity. The radiator is a custom built aluminum one for the engine and tranny setup. I'm running Mobil 1 synthetic fluid, per the rebuilder's recomendation(and warrenty!).
On the AN fittings what are the ends that hook up to the flared tubing called?

You are correct ,those lines are set up for hose clamps ,in order to use a flair fitting ,you would have to have a flair tool and the correct flair to AN fitting.

If you use a hose just push some extra on there and use 2 clamps.
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

I bought a 73 pickup w/390 & c-6 cheap once .... the guy did a valve job and put it back together and it still smoked .... the whole time the modulator was bad and sucking tranny fluid into the intake . Sometimes that preformed hose will blow off if it is excessivly dirty and the engine backfires through the carb.
