Pull the pan. That will give you an idea.
You have to have access to the filter to check it for debris even if the pan sediment looks good.
This is your starting point before anybody can tell if it's the tranny or converter.
Chances are 90% that the converter is not the problem. If the sprag let go inside the converter, you're pretty much stationary and towing that baby home.
