Work this cover off and outward 360 degrees around. It's pressed in and can be a little sticky so be careful to be smooth and not warp or ding it up too badly.
Slide your old gov out, remember it turns a little when sliding.
Not too messy but will require a pan underneath it to capture the run off oil.What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?

i have a th350 and the fluid levels are up to standard i will check the pan tomarrow for any pieces
but how do i know if it is the tranny or the torque converter
