    That surprises me. I bet you can't simply dump F on top of Dextron. You probably have to start off with it dry?

    I guess that's one way to make a Chevy tranny better, put FORD parts in it. lol. (I couldn't pass that one up)

    The fundamental difference between Dexron and Type F is the friction modifier additive for the clutches. GM preferred(s) a smoother shift than Ford. Some folks like a firmer feeling shift, so F is more appropriate for that. BTW the Type F spec went out the window almost 20 years ago as supported by Ford. The name Dexron is trademarked by GM and has no letter T in it. Dexron III is generally backward compatible to previous Dexron applications.

    I never mixed the two, start dry without a doubt.
