So I'm within a week or so of getting the '32 running and I went to install the drive for the electic speedo on the Muncie 4 speed. I put the little adapter pin into the plastic tranny gear and gave it a spin - and it spun! Obviously it should not have, so I removed the speedo driven gear assy and low and behold - the drive gear on the output shaft is too far in on the shaft. Pulling the motor and trans now is a major setback. I think I can get the output housing off with the tranny in place - do you think I will be able to do that and pull the gear back 1/2" or so? It was a swap meet tranny that checked out good, but I never thought to look at the alignment of the speedo gears. Bummer.
