    torque converter shot??

ok heres what my trans is doing, reverse is slipping and making this grinding noise. OD is fine but when i stick it in first itll start making the same noise but its not as loud and its not slipping. and i got under my truck and had a buddy start it and its like clicking and its coming from the flywheel/torque converter area.
    is it shot?
    thanks guys

Sounds like two different problems. The clicking could be a cracked flex plate. You'll be able to see it when you pull the trans to do a rebuild, there's major trouble with low and reverse. Grinding and slipping is never good.

If it's a 700r4, you probably didn't have the TV cable adjusted properly and burned up the thing. Those transmissions are very touchy when it comes to the TV system.
