how to identify the torque converter
the guy who sold me the car claims its a 2800, how do i confirm that? there is no numbers on it??

Other than doing what ProZ said, there really isn't any way to tell. The 13" diameter just means that it has a stock shell, it could have been re-curved inside. If it's feasable I would just replace it with a known converter, otherwise just put it in, and go.Mike Casella
