ThankS for the pic Don! i did read that somewhere too, and found pics of that setup used, but im with you on that. The rockcrawler crowd loves the 1/4 spring setup and ive been reading alot on their sites! they almost always mount it without a shackle, but they are not as concerned about spring bind in their use.
