Thought I would give ya guy's an update... Had to take my Accel plug wires back as they were to long after work on Friday. I bought the Accel because they came in yellow which I thought would look good on the motor. You would have thought the distributor was in the back seat these wires were so long?

Saturday rolls around I get up and my wife informs me that I better not open the hood on that car until I fix the leak'n toilet, fix the drain pipe on the air conditioner, pickup my kids instrument for band and sign him up for football.

I get after it and power out on the honey do's. Now I can work on the car and get the new plug wires on and notice I didnt tight'n up the alternator belt. Get that done and go inside for a quick washup before tryin to start her up. Ask the wife if she thinks it will start and without hesitating she says "NO" Ill tell ya what I get no respect. I turn around and the dog's look'n at me for sum attention and I say what about you... think it's gonna start? Wife say's wag your tail if you think it will start? The dog looks at me and I kid ya not, stopped wagg'n its tail and sat down Dang! No body's got any confidence in me

Well there's no turn'n back now and I head off to see what happens Put the key in and turn her over while pump'n the gas a few times and she fires off! Idles a little rough and then I hit the pedal and the engine starts racing. I shut it off happy that it started and knew right away I didnt hook up the throttle springs on the carb correctly. No big deal, I fix it and start her up again. Runs a little rough but runs none the less it runs HAH! All I have to do now is adjust the rocker arms and she should run just fine

Sorry to be so windy but I was happy with myself and wanted to share.
