Sorry it took awhile to answer, I couldn't log on to the site.
I think I may have found the problem and the problem was me!
The way I had the progressive linkage adjusted to get the two outer carbs to fully open it was opening the center carb too wide and the accelerator pump lever was exerting a bunch of pressure on the pump itself. The lever was hitting the top of the pump chamber and pulling the pump apart.
The outer carbs have some small stiff coil springs to keep the butterflies closed so it takes quite a bit of pedal pressure to open them.
Any how I hope I've got it fixed and I sure do thank all who responded.
