A stick welder is fine. Get your steel at a local steel yard....look in the yellow pages. If there is not one locally, buy from a welding shop. Shipping steel is too expensive.....DonDon Meyer, PhD-Mech Engr(48 GMC Trk/chopped/cab extended/caddy fins & a GM converted Rolls Royce Silver Shadow).
