Is the headliner vinyl or cloth?
It looks vinyl in your photographs.
But if it's cloth you can shrink wrinkles out by spraying them lightly with water.johnboy

Some of the wrinkles will go away the first time it's baked in the sun..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

It's vinyl. It actually looks like it's shrunk a little and tightened up in a few spots over the last few days.1 Corinthians 1:27

I've seen guys spray water on vinyl and then heat it with a heat gun to get the wrinkles out. It looks really nice though. I've put one in and I never thought it was going to look decent. It was a good learning experience. Haha
Does the place you got your carpet from make it for other years? Forgive me if you made it. I can't remember if you did or not.Ryan

Yeah, they do. It was really reasonably priced, fit well, and looks to be pretty well made. Here's where I got it:

Boil the kettle and then hold it up under where the creases are and allow the steam from the pourer gentle warm the vinyl. That is how most auto upholsterers do it when I have watched them. It is looking good though and you have accomplished a nice job on fitting the trim.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

I second or third that, the bumpers look amazing. I had a nasty thought looking at the pictures, I hope you are not selling this one so soon after finishing it ? I can't explain why that thought jumped into my thick head.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Car looks great. Doesn't look like you have much left before driving.
Are those Briz bumpers? I came to this thread late. You may have already said where they came from.

Thanks, they are Briz bumpers. This one won't get sold, it was a gift from a good friend with the stipulation that I finish it and not sell it. The guy is retired and was a member of my church, the car was a gift from his grandpa for his 16th birthday. He drove it all through high school and college and his kids drove it, too. He started to restore it but never got past disassembly and when he retired from being a union electrician, him and his wife decided to sell their home and buy a small place. He didn't have a place for the car and hadn't touched it in twenty years. He found out I was a car guy and asked me if he were to give me the car, would I promise to get it back on the road and keep it? As soon as it's on the road, I'm taking it to his house for a visit. He never has come to see it, he wanted to wait until it was done.1 Corinthians 1:27
