Battery drain.... My plow truck kept killing the battery after a day or 2. Finely found that the up and down switch was supposed to be self centering. It wasn't the up side went back to center when you let it go , but the down didn't. Took a long time to figure that one out as when you park the truck you drop the plow and the switch stayed down. Not any more.
These things can definitely be sneaky and hard to find. My son had a Firebird that had a light in the console that was supposed to shut off when you shut the console lid. His didn’t and it would kill the battery. Took forever to find that one. Mine is good now; sat for a week and fired right up.
We had an 08 Civic that would drain, I could not find the source after many hours of trying. Took it to 2 Honda dealers, they couldn't find it either. I think it was some sensors staying "on" so the can bus would stay on. Ended up trading it in. It gets so much more complicated on the new cars.
Burglar alarms are another great way to drain your battery. When I worked at the Chevy dealership it was standard practice to remove the alarms from any trade ins we put on the used car lot.
