    Yea, I just bought a new scoocum dremel for that reason, But I was trying
    to figure out what would be the best to fill the dimples with.

    Yea ,just trying to help .
    plastic body filler , lead , allsteel , or some type of two part epoxy are my "ideas".
    your prep before filling, sanding ,and painting is what is going to make the most difference, if they hold or fall out of your "pitted areas" that your wanting to paint.

    IMO have it stripped then filled and rechromed by a knowledgeable chrome plater , they probably even have a guy on call to handle the "satin black" area for you , then it'll be better than it ever was.
