i can snag a 322 nail head with transmission..... guy was thinking of scrapping i talked him out of it for a while anyway cool 4door buick

I don't think I'll have problems with getting a motor. Sorta like the looks of those valve covers

i do to . but you will not like the price of the parts very hi for the 425 and hard to find parts .could not say for the smaller nail heads

The early nailheads used the dynaflow transmission. The bolt pattern was specific to those block's, and I think it changed with the 401c.i.. I can't remember the company that makes an adapter but I know it's around $700.
The early trans are hard to find and expensive to rebuild and not real strong.
