Thread: electric fans on my radiator.- do they need to be thermostaticly controled??

Yep, as I said , I quit flying my ultralite airplane for the same reason, likely pilot error. I know me, and I cant be trusted with things like that.

Where is a good place to get the needed stuff to make the fans work? do they have that stuff at the local auto store? or does it have to be a speed shop?

I'm running the painless unit with relay and 190 F thermostat. I also have a toggle for manual override if the thermostat fails for any reason.

switch the hot, never the ground. Yeah, yeah, it will work both ways. But just remember: never switch the ground.
