Thanks everyone - I warmed the 63 up, pushed her into the street - put her in second, started her up with the clutch depressed and bam! instantly released. I have learned my lesson...we need to drive these things!

BTW - somewhat o/t, howver I was fortunate enough to get a ride in a Stanley Steamer today...wow...what a beautiful piece of Americana...
