Gasser thanks for the info. I am bit confused on what you said though. I know the single one is small and I would rather have the bigger one so if I get a dual what do I do, just hook up the one carb on it and block the other off? Also do these ones have the air filter inside or what? I dont have a blower or nothing but I will get spacers, etc to make it stick out of the hood a little and though maybe it would be good if there IS a filter in it and that way more air too. I will be putting on an edelbrock carb (not sure what size yet). I am now getting the truck today and picking it up in about 4 hours and found out too that it's NOT a 84, it's an 85 Custom Deluxe. I read the door and it said 12/84 and I didn't think about it but the title says 85 and my father said that it could be made in december of 84 but it's a 85. Either way I can't wait to get it home strip the ugly stuff off it and then this week get those dropped springs on it then I have and go to the alignment shop later. I need new tires on it bad so that will happen next week as well and THEN the alignment.
But yeah, I am pretty excited. Not really a old truck I guess you can say but I like the fact I have NO rust to deal with on this one and I can focus JUST on the paint, interior and motor, not having to cut out metal, weld panels, sand blast, primer, paint, etc.
But yeah anymore info on this scoop is appreciated because I need to get this new carb, intake manifold and filter soon since the truck is all gummed up, hard to start and leaking a bit.
