Have you tried a Camaro forum? I think the question you are asking is will the current wiring work with the new tach. If that will work you could cut and splice. Making it simpler than running the wires thru the fire wall and making connections at the light switch and fuse block. You need someone that knows the Camaro dash wiring.

That posting is more than 5 yrs old. I imagine he has either figured it out or no longer has the car.
