I replaced the low/rev roller clutch and reaction sun shell because of damage - dosbevos - still don't understand how 2-4 band is being applied by servo when in reverse?

no shift kit - stock transtar rebuild - went thru valve body, every thing seems ok - I did find the lo/rev roller clutch in backwards - I'll post what happens - my book says problems with the 700r4...

not in 2 gears but oil press to servo is applying the 2-4 band - it's not suppost to. I have man. low but no drive - any ideas?

thanks for the link Don - is there a way to bench check the 700r4 with shop air? I did the air checks during build up, but can you bench check the trans before installation?

after rebuild of 700r4 trans it ties-up in reverse, the 2-4 band is being applied about 5 seconds after selecter is placed in rev. any ideas?
