Denny No there not solid core. I have just put a new set on with plenty of space from my headers.

If I had my buddy(who's 6'6" ) hold the wire when wet and if the insulation didn't work, I'd be the one with my hair sticking on end as he would shove it up you know what!!!!:D

Found out why my chevy was only running on 6 cylinders. My spark plug holder came loose and let two of my plug wires touch my headers. Great mileage, but lousy performance.:(
