how about a pic of the rest of the rocker...
how about a pic of the rest of the rocker arm---the part that touches the valve tip and possibly the area where spring retainer is closest???looks like wear pattern around ball in rocker may be...

I'm thinking he is talking about push rod/guide plate wear?????????
I just did a bunch of googling and it seems there is no hydraulic shock for the Explorer. You can buy some for classic cars.
