I worked on figuring out what it will take to get the upper a-arms attached to the frame.

I cut these from a piece of 2x4...

It will stay on the ground for a couple of weekends. I've been needing to roll it over and weld all of the bottom joints. I have to make myself do that before I get too much farther.

Thanks. Its hard to get a good pic shows how cool of a shape that random sheetmetal pieces can make. The cowl area is gonna be neat when it is all welded together and and painted a solid color. ...

The front spring rate had to be tested. The only way to be sure that it would work with a-arms was to mount the a-arms....

I made tabs from a piece of 2x3...

I had planned for them to be mounted on the side of the "inner framerails", under the leafspring

Somebody on another site questioned my test of the spring rate. Do y'all have any input on the subject?

After bouncing the car on the front spring, it sure was hard to not set it on the ground and bounce it on both ends.

Before I get too carried away, I need to flip it over and weld the bottom...

Now to test out my idea for using the Ford leafspring. I have no idea what sort of spring rate this car actually needs.
