Using SPI as a reference point, their orange and red base go for $298 and change per gallon, or $96 and change for a quart. Reducers and catalysts add up pretty quick, too, and then there's all of the "other" stuff like abrasives, cleaners, polishing compounds, etc, etc. Seems like every time I'm walking out of the paint store I've left several portraits of Ben Franklin behind.
