Most basecoats can be shot @ 2/1
Having done a few 40's over the years I'd buy 6 qts (always nice to have more than not enuf.
As Roger said "Grab yer wallet" reds are spendy.
As for clear I'd recommend SPI Universial @ approx $250 for 2 sprayable gallons.
