There is another way to get a suttle type ghost flame with Kandies.............spray your base , then lay out your flames over the base then spray a couple of light coats of pearl ( your color choice ) then spray your tangerine over everything , the kandies are so trans luscent that the pearl flame will change hue just a bit , then in the sun you will be able to see your flames . I have done this many time with different colors of kandy.
Just remember the more ammount of pearl coats you spray the more prominate the flames are under the tangerine .
Do a few spray out test panels , and use different types of base colors as each base coloe will give your tangerine a different look , I have always used a special mix of charcoal for my base oats on candies , as I like my kandies with some depth, and the darker the base the deeper and richer it looks , IMO .
Try using one of the new copper bases coat colors from GM, Ford , Or chrysler foe a base oat under your tangerine , will cover nice and have a nice rich look too.........

Have fun , it gets rather expensive to just play around with kandies , to get just the right effectyou want to have . But its the way I have learned to get different effects with kandy.
