If you can check through back issues of Hot Rod in your local library microfilm holdings you should find some articles about the XR6 built by Tex Smith, I believe it won AMBR but I forget the year. There is in Hot Rod somewhere back in the early '80s an article on fitting a turbocharger from one of the small 215 Buick-Pontiac-Olds aluminum V8s to a 225 along with 1/4 mile test times before and after and how to modify the 215 turbo with an adjustable waste gate controlled by a knob on the dash board. I had plans for my 225 Volare with 4-speed stick overdrive and I bought such a 215 turbo but lost it in the midst of moving from one house to another. Maybe a turbo from one of the modern 4-cyl engines could be adapted to a 225. The idea is that the 225 has a pretty stout bottom end and can be turbocharged without worry, but the key was that the turbo for the 215-V8 was matched in size pretty close to the 225 displacement and had a waste gate that is easily adjustable.
