The car is looking great! The mods at the back are so subtle, makes you stare and wonder what was done...LOL..
How many days 'til racing begins now???

Sounds like the Cutlass is a retired race car now, think it's days will be spent on the street.....Well, maybe a bit of Saturday night action.....
Lots of mods, not many people see them at all!!! 10 different cuts on the rear bumper, more on the front...

Always fun to see how many notice the mods and how mad the purists get!!!!!

Adding kudo's to those already noted. The Cutlass looks great, and will be a head turner cruising the SD streets, or anywhere else it goes.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I mentioned awhile back about my van that I bought. It is currently a bus with a wheelchair lift and I'll be converting them to a regular van door and a camper style side door. I just listed the school bus doors and the wheelchair lift on Craigslist. Hopefully someone will have a use for them and offer me something reasonable or a good trade for the parts I don't need. The van is an E350 Ford, diesel engine (less then 5,000 miles on it), automatic transmission, front and rear air and heat. When the weather gets a bit better I'll get some pics of the rest of the van and the interior. I'll be taking suggestions on some bunks and seating for the interior, got to make it comfortable so the girls and I can go racing!!!!! If anyone here is interested in the lift or doors, make me an offer!!!! Here's a pic for you, laugh away!!!!!
PS---No comments about leaving the wheelchair lift installed cuz I'll probably be
needing one soon!!!!!!!

There's a good joke in there somewhere... A van with a wheelchair lift??? Maybe we can name it Ironside!?!?!

I think it'll make a dandy camper! Maybe put one of those retractable awnings on the side for some covered outdoor space."

Stored away (someplace) out at the farm is a canopy crank out assembly and framework that was on a trailer I had many moons ago.... I'll have to cut it down some, and have a new canopy made for it....to match the one on the trailer, of course!!!!
Unlike some of the smaller motor homes, the van has a full length massive frame so it's a matter of fabbing up a new bumper for the rear with a receiver hitch connected to the frame and the bumper. Already have an equalizer hitch on the trailer so not a lot of work there. Biggest task is going to be installing the van door and a decent looking side door. Then of course a set of bunkbeds for the girls, they've already told me that is mandatory!!!!!

Even at ages 4 and 5 girls sure are opinionated!!!!

Age and grandkids are slowing the projects
My 66 Chevelle is getting a facelift, but not as fast as I'd like. I started converting the M-21 to a 700R4 due to a left leg issue (age). My granddaughter wanted me to teach her to do a summersault. I tried to teach her, but ended up tearing my rotator cuff so the car has been sitting on a lift for 5 months while my shoulder heals. The transmission and cooler are installed but getting the linkage the way I want it is proving to be tough. Not because of the shoulder, but because of the trifocals I wear that won't let me focus on the small areas that need attention. So how is the project going? Slowly, just like the rest of my life!

Only way I've found to battle the bifocals and trifocals is a set of off the rack reading glasses who's focal distance is the distance where I want to be able to see most clearly. Along with a magnifying lens, they're the only things that make welding possible around here anymore, plus a different strength pair for doing wiring, carb linkage, etc.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Dave I too have to wear glass to read and close work. The other day I wanted to weld up the exhaust on my 72PU. No mater what I did I couldn't see what I was doing changed lenses in helmet adjusted light and dark . Nothing would work...Finely found out I had the wrong glasses on.. Getting old is not cool.Charlie

Been there, done that Charlie!!!! I've got 3 different pair of various strength for various things in my tool box, plus my "normal" bifocals that I use for everyday stuff.... Oh yeah, and another set with just the long distance correction on them that I use for keeping an eye on them pesky stage and go lights at the drag strip.... Would sure be crazy to grab the wrong pair when trying to stage the car, probably a rendition of the old Mr. Magoo show!!!!!!!
