Beautiful ride Tom. I almost had a 28 RP about 56 years ago. My brother bought it from a good friend of mine, I didn't know it was for sale, then my brother sold it before I knew he wanted to sell it. Do you plan to put a top on it? Once again, beautiful ride.

    Howdy Jack,
I've thought about putting a top on it as I'm prone to skin cancer and it's always sunny here. I'm not sure I want a stock canvas top but I've thought of using orignal closed cab side and back panels and making a removable hardtop that makes it kinda resemble a closed cab whenever it is on.

Here is a pick of the bed floor I made from red oak from Home depot. The battery is under a door in the right front corner of the bed. The mufflers are one piece polished ANSA units I bought on EBAY for $30 each. They have double turned down tips. I wonder how they will sound.

    Tom,

The one I missed twice had a fiberglass top fabed to look like a rag top and painted white.

No............ still not the "Z" but I got a little more done on the scaffolding. I made up some corner posts to attach the kick board & cut some slots for the corner tie downs.

Capped off & welded. I put a short collar over the receivers to make dropping in the railing parts easier.

Got the frames for the kick boards welded up. Installed the tie downs to take the wobble out of the railings.

Made up a pair of racks to hold 2''x4'' framing lumber.

Then I designed some graphics & laminated them to some .040 aluminum.

    Cut them to size

Using the graphic as a guide, I bead rolled a raised panel to make the graphic a little more 3d & stiffen the panels.

Formed the panels in the brake & screwed them to the frames.

All installed. That's it so far.

I printed the graphics on reflective material so it can be seen better at night.

Looks great Pro! Can't get over how nice the graphics come out and how much they add to something like scaffolding even!!!! Oh yeah, looks like some super strong corner posts!

Pro I was talking with my wife while viewing your update, and thought wow he made a pool table, until I was able to focus on what you typed! But now that I think about it you could make a pool table too!

Thanks Dave. I hope to get this deal all done by the end of the year so I can move on.

Stovens, maybe I'll get some green felt for Christmas.

Yer right Jerry. We are even 9-10¢ cheaper than Morris usually.

    Still no "Z" progress, but......
Got the adjustable ladder brackets built this weekend between Christmas celebrations.

    Cut out.

    Welded

Now the ladders are adjustable for uneven terrain, they lock on so I can move the whole set up without removing & reinstalling the ladders every move.

Still have a list of things to get done, but I have a real estate sign to remove today, so the list will have to wait. Everything fits on the trailer & is easy to take off/replace. The trailer is gettin' full.
