Good hearing from you Don, I am busting my balls because of barrowed shop time is very precious to me so I am doing everything I can get done quickly. I am like you as far as thinking everything out, I do it everynight in my notes.

OH NO! The car is starting to become a storage shed! Like the ones you see in peoples garage that is covered by crap and all you can make out is the core support! We got new furniture and other stuff had to go somewhere, and we're waiting on money for the shed, so all the crap is finding it's way to the car :( Once we get the 12X16 shed though we will be able to devote the garage to the car, hopefully within a month we will have it done.
I can relate to the "Lack of Room" thing RJ&CJ, it is part of life. I hope that you can get it in before summer.
I got the blue on my dash painted today plus a few other things. I have everything hooked up so a little antifreeze and it's ready to run. New horns are hooked up along with lowering my steering column inside about an inch. Next start hooking up all the new stereo equipment in the trunk. Should get my electric window kits by next week, Rock & Rollin' right on through it. So far everything has gone really well.

Thanks Lt1s10, it took some figuring, it's a tight fit. I hope that it works well, they said it will out cool 5 cores of copper. I am going to get a shroud for it, the swap meets start around here in a week!:D I finished putting my dash together, I love it. Should be cruising in her by sunday afternoon. Still needs matching gauges. I figured it up tonight, 134 hours of work on her in the last 4 weeks, no wonder my wife is getting edgie and the dog doesn't know me!!:D Looks like I better do the valentine thing up pretty good!:D

you better do something for valentines or you gonna get like me, i stay in the dog house so much, when someone comes to the door, i don't know weather to "smell their butt, or shake their hand." now thats bad. :CRY: :LOL:

Hello all. Hope all is well with everybody on CHR. It has been a while since my last post. So much has happened. Here is a bit of an update with my chicken. Here it is getting ready for the knife.
Sorry 'bout that that one came out a bit larger than I thought it would. Let me try this one a bit smaller now. This was after pulling the fenders and getting ready to yank the old engine and tranny as well.
Ok so now the old engine and tranny are out. The front end has been re-built with new bushings etc. and the new disk brakes are in. The picture kinda sux but it's all I got of it unfortunately. :(
Oh well at least there's progress.

Here's a pic of the 400 I built up for it. The motor is currently in the car now as well as the new TH400 tranny for the mock up.
So once the tax return gets here, I'll be ordering the new fenders, front bumper, a rear qtr panel and wheel house and it'll be time to yank the unibody and get it up on the rotissary.
I've also decided to go with a new Ford 9" nodular rear with 3.25 gears so that needs to be set up as well. The new rear springs await that build up and then the chassis should be complete.
Anyway, it gets a little closer all the time. I just wish it were done. I can't wait to drive it.
