Lot of stuff goin' on in here lately..... COOL.

For a fleeting moment I thought about putting the intercooler behind the seats, but I nixed the idea because I didn't like the idea of air ducts running through the driver's compartment. So, I left it under the dash.

I looked over the position of the ice box one last time and cut out the new inlet tube. I got it all fit to the box and then put a lip on it for the clamp with the bead roller.

I ended up cutting the tack welds loose on the intercooler mount and lowering it 2". That required redoin' the inlet tube to make it set higher on the ice box. That will have it stickin' out of the bottom of the dash some, but it will now "hopefully" clear the area of the dash that's right above the glove box (so I won't have a bubble in the dash there, I hope).

It's got the blocks back under it for now but this is about where it will end up. Might need a small bubble in the hood by the strut tower (maybe). Remains to be seen, there's not allot O' head room there. Stay tuned.

Looks great so far, Z.... but I do think some duct tape would hold better then the green masking tape!!!! Cars gonna go too fast and the green stuff will blow right off... Maybe even some 200 mph duct tape!!!!!

Tight headers on the driver side? Ah...........no big deal it's a Mopar...........just drop the car over the headers rather than the other way round.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Very cool Duster, Brick. My sister had a 70 that was the same color. I begged her to sell it to me until her worthless boyfriend crashed it!

I would have but the outstanding warrents for him took care of him; we never saw him again. She found some other loser to hook up with but that's another story. She's my youngest sister and I love her very much but she has a gift for screwing up her life.
On the brighter side, I spent much of the weekend working in the garage. I made some support rods for the radiator and got them installed. I got the rearend in, hooked up, rear shocks put in and brakelines connected. I started to bleed the brakes but found a pinhole in one of the front lines, so we'll get back to that. Accelerator linkage is built and installed; I used parts from the 50, the 48 and welded on a wrench for the gas pedal. I know it's been done a million times but I always liked the look. Finally I cut down the other bedside and got it welded back together. It's coming together pretty good, still hoping for an early spring launch.

Lookin' good Dave. Nice to see the "T" Upside right or right side up.........again.

I got a little more done this afternoon. Workin' on getting the box mounted and the braces back in that I had to cut out to get the thing in there. I planned to just cap off the original inlet, but it was kinda' in the way so.......it's gone now.

I'm going to run a reverse F2 so it will look something like this. Just with a dominator instead of EFI.

Na, I trust that 210 to handle the hp. I just noticed he's got the same headers as I do too.

    Dave,
    The coupe looks great!
I'll be home in two weeks. Would it make sense for me to bring the chassis up to you so we could bolt on the body, fenders, running boards and splash aprons to make sure everything lines up?
Planning to leave here in one week and "work" my way back up there (will be helping a guy finish his living room ceiling in Hillsboro IL), also plan on looking for T parts too.
    Tom

Probably a good plan Tom. Let me see how things go the next week or so....Not really operating at 100% yet....
