Yep selling off a long time project is going to be rough . Selling off Cpe will get all the new sheetmetal for FB and help in the going on the A . Man the rads are expensive and can never catch a good deal on ebay even when some one is selling there new mock up .

Thanks, Bobby. Here's a few shots of my old Monte I dug up. 454, 4-speed; it was a pretty fun ride.
-
Neat old Monte, Falcon!!! Bet ya wish you would have kept it, huh?
-
holy smokes dave diggin on a chebbie :D good lookin ride falcon..
-
I drove it for about two years after I finished it. I had my fun with it and got a good price for it when I sold it, so no regrets with moving on to the next project.

Ya, it's different when they go because you want to do something else, it's sad when they have to go when you don't want them too. There has to be some way to finance this hobby, just think of it as you really made another rodder really happy too by selling it!
I haven't had time to do anything to my cars but I hope I can start soon. I have alot to do this winter, maybe a new engine for my '48 too.

I hear you, time is always at a premium. October is bad for me because I have one kid playing football and one playing volleyball. Plus our band is always really busy in October; lots of churches getting their last picnics and fall festivals out of the way. We'd played every weekend for the last month and we usually don't do that much. Thankfully the sports seasons are over and we're slowing down a little.
What kind of new engine are you thinking of? How about something off the wall like an old Buick straight 8?
-
That would be wild but no I will probly go with a 383 stroker this time.
-
Well, if any of you guys get bored this winter let me know!!!! I have enough projects to keep a few guys busy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, the trick is to find time to get something done on my own stuff!!!!

Projects
Well I'm just about done with the shop renovation, the steel has been purchased the drawings are done and should be starting the build on the Cobra by the middle of the month, and right beside it will be the 49 F-3 I'm building for the wife, so my winter should be fun. Carl

Falcon a 454 4spd Monte is very rare less then 500 made if i remember also only made in 1970 or was it 1971. Did get to ride in one a couple years ago . The guy traded the body and kept the engine .

The old and the new.
Even if it is a chebbie, this should make a very nice cruiser. 327 cubes, converted to EFI with computer tweaked for this specific engine and cam going into a '57 wagon with a 3 speed overdrive!!!! The old and the new should combine to make for a sweet ride!!!! Customer wants to drive it for a year or so, then bring it back for a frame off rebuild and some 50's style Hot Rodding!!!!!
-
That is a very sweet combo Dave, should move the ol' wagon very nicely huh? Lets see, how far are you? I can work on wednesday nights till about ten.

I wish that Monte was 1 of 500; i'd would have probably been able to retire from it. It was originally a non-SS; 402/auto but I changed it over. That 327 with the EFI looks pretty sweet. That should make a great street combo.
I was sick as a dog this weekend but I did get out and finish making the floor pans. Now I just need to replace the other cab corner, sand it down good and I can get some primer on the cab. No more work today, though. I feel like crap.

Looks good! Yeah, go ahead and take the rest of the day off!!!!
