Commercial wise you can't even have a truck in CA older than 1997 and if you do they fine you even though it doesn't say that on their site or regulations. Diesel has came along way in the last 15 years for sure. The air coming into the air filter is dirtier than the air coming out. That's about the only positive about it if you own any or have to work on them, that is another story.
