I enjoy the metalworking and finding new ways to screw it up but the finishing is so tedious it drives me bonkers. I think the real work is in the metal finishing - the better you do that the less body prep it'll take. I am constantly trying better metalshaping habits, one i am working to develop now is leading. I fuse weld a panel and while it is still warm i am leading the joint. I hope to get good enough with the lead that with little filing i am ready to skim coat. I'll try anything to reduce the sanding, blocking routine.
