So I crammed for several weeks to get ready to drive my coupe to the Roundup. It was amazing.
Got the manifolds on and the car running:

My good buddies Bob, Mark and Jeff came over to help motivate me. At this point I was up for like 2 days straight..

I have this bottle of water that was blessed by OZZY. I use a little in every car I make. It never lets me down.

And for it's first official drive why not go 50 miles to eat some BBQ with one of my best friends? It'll cruise at 75 laser straight with almost the entire gas pedal in reserve. Way faster than I'm willing to try, and that's saying something, cause I'm nuts.

Fantastic metal work! I had a '29 roadster body with similar rust but just did not know such restoritive metal work was possible so I sold it and bought a 'glass body. I still had a challenge with the 'glass body but I have to say your work is amazing; expecially the later dash and the window sills.

Way to go Dreddybear! Congrats on the award too! Looks fantastic, glad your enjoying it! Great work with cool details. Thanks again for the great pics of all your hard work. It's good to have friends who help motivate us!
That's a great update! You've got some fantastic pictures there, and the car's coming together as a great period example. Stance is right, and it's got to be a ball to drive. Really like that picture from the driver's seat over the six bellmouth carb scoops!
Awesome work! Great pics!!!
Wow, you have awesome skills man! I love how your car has turned out. That dash is awesome! Great work and congrats on the award! That's awesome!

Great looking car. I love everything about it! BTW, how do you have that registered in order to run an antique plate in TX?
Great job, well worth the wait.

What a FANTASTIC COUPE! The paint and the peaked trunk lid look really good, and the car is a "Cad" at heart! The part I like best is the open roof. Any plans for a green plexiglass insert or a canvas cover? I recall there was a model of VW sedan that had a sliding canvas roof (my Dad had one!). Maybe the repo/repair kit for the VW could be adapted to the A coupe. A sliding white canvas roof would show good against the dark paint, but since you have no snow you can enjoy summer year round! Maybe the easiest thing to do would just have a top shop make a white top with snaps around the edge. Take a look at some dune buggy tops where the front edge folds backward into a slot in the front edge and then just has snaps around the sides. Back on page 4 you mention plans for that so I hope to see the details. By the way what is your rear gear ratio? My roadster is as far back into my garage as I can get it while waiting for the snow to go away!

Great job you did there, looks sooper !!!
Dreddybear, the coupe looks great! Nicely done. Are those "Lyons" wheel covers? they look perfect on your coupe.
Mick
Fantastic! Like the wheel cover choice!
