How appropriate the timing of this subject!

I just spent the "last two days" working on my High Boy three piece hood and grill shell alignment. I'm getting the fit finalized so I can take the body off the frame for paint and I won't settle for "JUST CLOSE". It's amazing how many different adjustments need to be made, and how when you make one small adjustment three others are then required. I'm to the point of everything fitting and working nicely and the belt lines are still line up. Now I need to go back and trim the gaps wider and straight. I drives me crazy to go to a car show and see a car with a $10K paint job and that the hood is a "full finger" off at the belt line.

I might need to start attending the AA "twelve step" meetings before the hood is done.
