Hehhe, thanks grinder. (I think) I am not sure if you thought it was funny or if I am , well, weird. Either way, let me explain
I should have spelt it, gobs which rhymes with bobs etc. What I meant to say is that if one has excessive amounts of torque, then the spacing of the gearing within the tranny aren’t an issue, ie: rails, which have a 2 speed. Having said that, I am not sure that anyone ever has too much torque.
Hey Grinder, let me tell you how someone explained torque to me F U years ago. His story went something like this.
Torque is likened to a young man who wakes up in the morning and he has to relieve himself, however when he arrives at the porcelain fixture, as he stands in front of it trying to get a grip of the matter at hand, he finds himself in a peculiar situation. Although the need is great, when he forces his aim, he can not pull the trigger. So he leans forward lowering his shoulders to try and alleviate the stress, and finally the heels of both of his feet become airborne, THAT, my friend is torque.
Add to that another 30 years and if this old man, at least sometimes, still runs into this problem, that is gobs of torque.Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.
".......So sanded it all down and resprayed. ......" Been there. done that on a couple of paint jobs over the years. Usually took me a couple of days to get over being mad before I started...
