They recommended bias plys if you are going to be using the trailer on long trips on the interstate, and radials if you only use it for short trips, like from home to the launch ramp. The logic was that bias plys sway less from side to side at those high speeds.

They suggested we ask each customer how they intended to use the trailer and order the trailer with bias or radias accordingly. Ken Thurm builds trailers, maybe he will see this thread and comment.

My new trailer came with big heavy duty 8 ply radials!!! Best stability I've ever had with a trailer....!!!!! But other then spending the big $$$$ for tires like this on a trailer, I'd go with a bias....Unless you tow at the speeds we sometimes do, then you should have a high speed tire!!!!!!!!
