IC2, I know moving is not much fun and you really ought to try to bring one rear and one 351 block with you for spares. I lost some stuff I wish I had back in the last move. Anyway Roanoke is closer than NY state so maybe we will eventually share a visit. I think I used the cold months well on the new book and I am coming around the bend now so maybe I can finish the wiring over the Summer. I think all I have to do yet is install the electronic speedometer, get the vacuum line on the power brake and set up the carb linkage so it is close to "almost"!

So, I finally got a little time to play with my car today. I started by trial fitting the rear seats I bought a while back. They are rear seats from a '05 GTO. They're the right width and I think they're going to look pretty cool and they are comfortable too. Now I need to fabricate some mounting brackets, setup the seatbelts, etc. My plan is to get front seats with integrated shoulder harnesses so I don't have to fabricate mounting plates on the door post. The '02 and newer BMW convertible has some really nice ones and the shoulder harness isn't a big, obnoxious thing like some of the other integrated harnesses. I hope to find a set in like-new condition then I'll recover the back seat to match. There is a lot of other work to do before that happens but it makes sense to plan ahead.

The seats look like they were made for that '37 - nice pick.

If the Beemer seats are Recaro's - they are nice plus well built based on the ones I have. I have to say - the mounting brackets will take you some time to build. I have lots of hours doing mine - then not using those seats. Oh well, fooling with hobbies isn't supposed to be equated to hours of effort

Here - well I'm pullin' a Randy and haven't touched my car in weeks since we played last summer and I'm catching up a deferred home maintenance plus getting ready to move to Virginia.
