I used to take 435 to go to the airport but since they made 71 an interstate (I-49) I go through town and even during rush hour it's not that bad. They eliminated big sections of the neighbor hood on either side where 71/49 runs that was Prospect and a very bad part of town. There are 3 consecutive lights and you can get backed up some but it's a lot better than the zoo on I-435. If you 're coming in on I-35 I would take it to I-70 East to 71/I-29 North to where I-29 and I-35 split. Check out the map.
