Yeah, I tried that but since I didn't start the thread I just gave up after scrolling 10 pages. I love good dried Pintos from scratch and a friend of mine showed me how to change them from "high octane" to "unleaded" just by par boiling and then rinsing, then you put a carrot in with them when you cook them, but be sure and "DON"T EAT THE CARROT". One thing I noticed in Arkansas and Memphis was that they served Pork n Beans with their "Q" and not Pintos but you'd never get by with that down here.
