Thanks for sharing. There were several gorgous cars. I really liked the Great 8 car. That machine work and all those pieces are awesome!
Be careful of what you ask for!!! If I know you're interested.. maybe next year we can try and do something as a group? We'll see what happens.

I think this is a great idea! I'd be up for that or even a KC or a little farther south trip too. Heck, I'd go to Tejas just to put some miles on this part hooker in the shop.

And this one was for sale.. look close, there are a couple of nice mods that you don't always see or notice!

I noticed in a poster that "The Kid" was wearing steelies and caps in the movie.. we asked the owners son ( who was gracious and friendly and willing to meet with us and answer any questions!) about this and he explain that was what the producer / director felt was more "correct".. so the wheels you see on the rolling chassis here are the ones from the movie!

We were also allowed to traipse through the shop..!!..!! We were given free rein!!!

The owners said we should check out a rolling chassis just ready to go to it's owners in Connecticut... they stretched a 32 frame 6 inches to accommodate a 39 Lincoln V-12 and it's trans.. way cool

That's it for tonite.. I've got a bunch more to work on and select to share... maybe tomorrow.

    Mike,
Pete & Jakes place is in the little town of Peculiar, MO, not Joplin. Joplin is about 120 miles farther down I49/US71.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

And perhaps...maybe...potentially...it could be time for us to make another visit to the States...

    I'm tempted...
