And this one was for sale.. look close, there are a couple of nice mods that you don't always see or notice!
I noticed in a poster that "The Kid" was wearing steelies and caps in the movie.. we asked the owners son ( who was gracious and friendly and willing to meet with us and answer any questions!) about this and he explain that was what the producer / director felt was more "correct".. so the wheels you see on the rolling chassis here are the ones from the movie!

We were also allowed to traipse through the shop..!!..!! We were given free rein!!!
The owners said we should check out a rolling chassis just ready to go to it's owners in Connecticut... they stretched a 32 frame 6 inches to accommodate a 39 Lincoln V-12 and it's trans.. way cool
That's it for tonite.. I've got a bunch more to work on and select to share... maybe tomorrow.

Wow looks and sounds like a fabulous weekend! Thanks for sharing all the pics. I was looking at the first few, with the Key Stone Cops theme running thru my head. What a awesome collection of classic Americana!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Pete & Jakes place is in the little town of Peculiar, MO, not Joplin. Joplin is about 120 miles farther down I49/US71.Roger

You can tell a lot by the way a good dog responds to people. Sure, Bones was a bit tentative seeing "a stranger", but within a minute or two was into his velcro mode with Mike. That's the chair that I sit in when we're "..down for the evening" in front of the TV, and almost every night Bones will end up curled on the hassock between my feet, using a leg as a pillow or often part on the hassock and head in my lap snoozing. When he crawled up in Mike's lap, promptly closed his eyes and started dozing it was a sign of total trust. Mike's a good guy.Roger

The Australians have finally discovered the origin of the word 'Vegan.' Apparently it's an old Aboriginal word for 'Bad Hunter.'
