Well Dave I looked at the Weather map this morning and I saw the snow record of 20" for this date in S.D. but here in central VA it has been 85-90 F for Mon-Tues-Wed. Ten days ago we had 2" of snow and I missed out on taking a picture of blossoming trees in the snow but the snow melted by the afternoon anyway. My grown son mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday! Most of the commercial buildings in this area have flowering pear trees that don't get fruit but they get puffy snowball white flowers in Spring before the forcythias come out with yellow. Just yesterday our forcythias made it to full bloom and today was the first day I reached a sweat in just a T-shirt. However that cold bulge usually comes east so I hope it is just rain by the time it reaches the East Coast. I saw that the folks in Fargo had filled one million sand bags to try and hold back the Red River, but doesn't that happen every Spring? Maybe land near Fargo is one of the most extreme weather sites in the U.S.?

Every year it seems to be the same floods in Mississippi valley drout in texas. You'd think some body would dig a ditch between the two and store the water till the hot summer.

Don't give the Corps of Engineers any ideas, they do enough damage as it is.

Since the weather was holding steady I took the coupe for it's safety inspection sticker.. The old one expired in January.. oops...

While I had it out I brought it home and gave it a bath after dinner. Then a short ride with the front windshield cracked open and thought Boy, life can be good!

Hush yo mouff, Robin, our leaders don't believe in the word employment - - - - they've spent billions getting the unemployed to where they "aren't" today.

Had a couple new neighbors move into the tree just outside the office window, even though it was a little windy. They say it's Spring but there's a chance of snow tonight.

It was close to 90F around here today. I'm pretty sure that was a new record based on what I heard yesterday about the previous high for this day being 87F back in the 1920's. That's too warm for my taste so I'm looking forward to sunny and mid 60's this weekend.

It's either feast or famine isn't it?

All last summer and fall most of our rivers were silt beds. The creeks were just dirt trails. It's nice to see a decent amount of water in these areas for a change. Hopefully it lasts.....

Spring sprung here a while back, but then thought twice and gave us some late rain, today however was lovely 75-78 degrees, with a cool breeze. In short we were blessed, sorry about all the cold up there Dave!
