I wonder if there's a reason why the last Ford pace car was in 1994, the Mustang. In 1996 we had a Dodge Viper, but everything else since has been GM. Do we know if GM plows more money into the Indy 500 or is there some other reason?Nick

Nick, I suspect it is money driven. I know when the maker proposes to "offer" to supply the vehicles, it's actually 10 to 12 cars! Plus they pay for the "privilege" and the exposure. This is why the "official" pace car is then offered as a copy for purchase around the country, help offset the costs and hopefully make some money right?!?!
I remember reading this in Mustang Monthly in regards to the 79 Mustang Pace Car. A bit of an eye opener for me then.
Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
