Glenn - I too am not happy with what is happening and too am considering the same. Yes, I had my snit last summer and just decided to back out for a while, but it wasn't for the same kind reason. I do agree with Bill in that it is an automotive forum BUT those posts were posted in the Lounge where the subject is "Shoot the breeze about all the non Hot Rod stuff..." which, Bill, puts you in the position of dictating what we can and can not say. What was posted, and I believe I was able to read it all before you deleted it, was in no way offensive to me nor from what I could see, anyone else. It may not have been everything I or others agree with and much the same as most of the posts on the political thread that we wanted to keep going at least through Jan 20/inauguration day . At this point, Brent may as well pull the plug or better yet, sell Club Hot Rod to someone who will build it back towards its glory days not too long ago. The site has lost too many members over the past couple of years to be a viable place for people to go to discuss cars and vent and also, bring in new folks with much of the same interests. Glenn is potentially another loss - a valuable asset among the dwindling number of regulars who make up a now very small group of folks that just hang in here.
Yes, the Newtown, CT. tragedy is a horrible event. I'm not really much of a religious person, but I did say a prayer for the victims. The media, politicians and entertainment freaks are screaming. The underlying CAUSES of these terrible events need to be considered - but as history has pointed out, wont be.Last edited by IC2; 12-16-2012 at 05:54 AM.
