Shine I grew up in the city but always heard what your saying. Around here I have never in 18 years seen a field without a crop in it.. its either potatos corn or soybean.. sometimes flowers for the bulds.. I live in the "Seed corn capital of the world" Or so they claim.

you dont just leave it bare. you plant a plow crop . meaning you plant something then plow it in to rebuild the field. otherwise you are spending a fortune on fertilizer and hurting the land.
