Paddy was standing as a candidate for Mayor of his village.
"It's the rich that are the problem, they suck us poor working people dry. Elect me Mayor and I'll force a more equitable distribution of wealth by taxing the rich more and more until they're brought to our level."
A heckler in the crowd shouted: "If you had two houses Paddy; would you give me one?"
"For sure I would," said Paddy.
"And if you had two horses would you give me one?"
"For sure I would," was the response.
"And if you had two pigs would you give me one?"
"P##s off; ya know I have two pigs!"
Taxing the rich is not the answer, I don't know what it's like in your country; but in our country the vast majority of the truly wealthy people I know have made their wealth for and by themselves.
They made it because they worked both harder and smarter than their contempories.
They've earned it...mainly through sustained application over a long period of time, attention to detail, and lateral thinking.
And yes; they've created jobs along the way.
